I worked on this project in Spring term of 2024 for my J460 Social Media Content topics course. We were tasked to create a Chat Bot centered around addressing the diversity issue within the creative industry.

This project was done in three parts. Part A consisted of creating a creative brief as well as six promotional banners. I chose to do three Instagram stories and Instagram posts. For part B, we had to create a wireframe displaying every possible response as well as a mockup. Part C was optional, however, I chose to participate. Using Apple Books, I made an interactive prototype for my chatbot to help demonstrate the experience.

My Chatbook addressed helping instill the importance of creative fields in our youth at a young age. In the Adobe study we analyzed, leading creatives in the industry explained that we need to change the way we look at creativity through students and their school curriculums. IdeaBuddy was made to provide students with a safe encouraging environment for students to gain more knowledge of creative industries through real-life scenarios and resources.

This project taught me how to use a lot of different programs such as InDesign, Apple Books, and Photoshop. It was certainly a labor of love, but it taught me to never give up—even when you think you can’t do something. I worked on the interactive prototype for what felt like hours. It was so meticulous and repetitive to input responses for every prompt. At one point, I wanted to throw my computer across my room, but I stayed persistent and felt so proud once I finally finished it. Working on the creative brief, promotional banners, and wireframe for IdeaBuddy helped me realize everything that goes into every step of advertising a product. It was such a fun experience and made me feel so so so invested!
